An unusual presentation of diffuse sclerosing variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma

Abstract Background The diffuse sclerosing variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma is a rare pathologic entity. It characterized by tendency for rapid growth and higher incidence cervical lymph node distant metastases. We report an unusual presentation presented as single mass small size. Case experienced case in 30-year-old woman. preoperative findings on the cytology ultrasound were suggestive malignant nodule. This was confirmed surgical excision. management included surgery, radioiodine ablation, suppressive levothyroxine therapy. Conclusions would like to highlight that early diagnosis associated with appropriate leads good prognosis.
